Colour vision is a particularly interesting aspect of eyecare.

Though nothing can be done to restore normal colour vision in colour defective people, it is important to have it assessed thoroughly before making career decisions where colour recognition is critical (police, dye fabric and paint industries, electronics, fuel).

The common Ishihara coloured dot test is an excellent screening test for deficiency, but is a poor predictor of the severity of the loss.
We use several other tests to analyse these deficiencies.
